O. O. McIntyre // Six months ago Lillian Lorraine suffered a fractured spine in a fall down a stairway at the Fifty-Fifty Club. It was believed that she would never walk again. But she has come back as a star in a music and dance play and the first night was the mightiest ovation ever given to a stage artist.
Artists have praised her figure in superlative terms ever since she made her stage debut.
So noisy was the first night welcome that one critic left in a huff. “I got tired of the claque and Miss Lorraine’s bacque.” he explained.
